Body Lotion – Bergamot & Sandalwood ScentSold By: Pure Jali
This aloe vera and eucalyptus based body lotion is one of the only Australian-made lotion designed for sensitive skin that is vegan friendly. It is also:
- A long term treatment for psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis sufferers
- Highly concentrated and effective
- Not tested on animals
- Made from certified organic ingredients
- Free from all harsh chemicals often present in lotions
One of the unique active ingredients in this body lotion is a special type of Eucalyptus leaf. This lotion is the modern incarnation of authentic, ancient Aboriginal healing, passed down for generations. The compound has been designed so that only its healing elements have been retained and no eucalyptus smell remains.
Body Lotion Alternative To Eczema Cream, Psoriasis Cream and Dermatitis Cream
If you suffer from eczema or any other auto-immune sensitive skin condition, you’ll know that these conditions cannot be cured, they can only be managed. Standard medical treatment using strong and hard steroid cream can’t be used long term. Why? Because steroid cream is essentially a high dose anti inflammatory that contains chemicals which damage the skin when used on a long term basis.
Apart from being itchy and irritating, suffering from a sensitive skin condition can also be confidence shattering. Feeling unable to wear the clothes you want to and being unable to feel comfortable in your own skin can be isolating.
The Pure Jali Bergamot and Sandalwood Sensitive body lotion provides a completely natural alternative to eczema cream, psoriasis cream and dermatitis cream. This allows you to manage sensitive skin long term. The active eucalyptus ingredient has the same attributes naturally as a steroid cream, but without the chemicals that damage your skin. Remember to always seek medical advice.
Best Body Lotion For Sensitive Skin And Great For Normal Skin Too
The Pure Jali body lotion is particularly useful if you regularly wash your hands and arms. Professions such as nurses, doctors, dentists, hairdressers and even teachers may use insensitive chemicals and other foaming agents on their hands and arms every day. Proactively using this concentrated body lotion can prevent the development of sensitive skin or ongoing sensitivity.
If you do have normal skin, the benefits of Pure Jali Body Lotion aren’t reduced. Enriched with vitamins and minerals, your body will take what it needs. The rich, creamy lotion leaves the skin feeling soothed, nourished and hydrated.
Pure Essential Oil Scent Suitable For Men And Women
The first application to the skin bursts with a vibrant citrus and orange fragrance from the balanced blend of bergamot and sandalwood. Lavender, mandarin and orange supports the overall aroma. Because there is no alcohol in the formula, the scent subsides throughout the day so there is no need to worry about it being overpowering. The Pure Jali team sources pure essential oils directly from the Australian heartland including the highest quality Sandalwood from Western Australian and Lavender from Tasmania. Unlike many body lotions, it’s not oily and just a small amount spreads extremely well. The cream soaks in quickly, leaving only soft, nourished skin behind.
Highly Concentrated, Active Formula
Most body lotion ingredients (particularly those available at pharmacies and supermarkets), list water as their first ingredient. This means that the solution has been significantly watered down. So, while it might seem like you’re getting more, you would need to use significantly more of it to achieve a similar effect to the Pure Jali formula.
Alternatives to Pure Jali’s Body Lotion are not vegan. They use synthetic fragrances and also contain parabens which are a hormone mimickers that are known to irritate the skin. In contrast, Pure Jali Body Lotion:
- Lists Aloe Vera as its first ingredient
- Contains 45% certified organic ingredients
- Is made from 98% naturally derived ingredients
The other 2% is simply a plant based preservative which is also natural but has no other function in the formula. The lotion is so natural, this preservative is necessary to stop the ingredients from growing!
Unique, Aboriginal Healing Heritage
Indigenous Australians laid the foundations for Australian aromatherapy tens of thousands of years ago. Co founder of Pure Jali and creator of the original Jali formula is the highly respected aboriginal elder and botanical healer, David Buranjali. David has been awarded the Shroud by the Prime Minister of India for his work in healing services for indigenous peoples. He also received the United Nations Peace Medal for services to humanity.
The preparation of this unique healing compound has been handed down over the generations to the tribe’s selected healer. Each Aboriginal tribe had only one healer and usually this was a woman. But David’s grandmother saw in him all the attributes that a natural healer would have. And so at the young age of 15, David began his life devoted to the study of the land, plants and their healing properties.
How To Use
How often should it be applied and when?
Apply the body lotion every morning. If you’re having a shower make sure you apply it after you get out (or after an evening shower or bath). If you apply it in the morning, most people find that one application is enough to last them the whole day.
How long will it last?
If you’re applying the solution once daily, the 150ml container should last between one and a half to two months. Of course, you should apply what you need depending on your skin type.
Can I use it on my face or hands?
This formulation is too concentrated to use on the sensitive skin of the face. However, if you have some small eczema spots on your face, it’s suitable to spot-treat those locations. Look out for our upcoming range of day and night face moisturisers. You can use the body lotion on the hands, but there are other elements included in the hand moisturiser such as a protective barrier. These are not present in the body lotion and so we still recommend the separate hand cream for use on your hands.
Is it suitable for use with children?
The Pure Jali Bergamot and Sandalwood Sensitive Skin Body Lotion contains high potency essential oils that contain anti-inflammatory as well as anti-aging properties. For this reason only, we recommend it to for use on children aged 2 and up.
All Natural, All Vegan Ingredients
The Pure Jali Bergamot and Sandalwood Sensitive body lotion ingredients include:
The cactus plant that is an anti bacterial moisturiser proven to heal chronic skin conditions like psoriasis.
The scientifically tested derivative of a unique type of eucalyptus leaf along with Bottlebrush and Bougainvillea.
This contains a rare antioxidant, Squaline, which helps prevent wrinkles, age spots and other signs of ageing.
This helps penetrate the skin naturally, mimicking the natural oils of sensitive skin with the protective wax ester it produces.
The good fats in avocado help protect sensitive skin from sun damage and inflammation. It also guards against premature wrinkles by keeping it moisturised and keeps the skin hydrated with Vitamin C and E.
From the nuts of the Shea tree, shea butter is full of vitamin A in much higher amounts than olive, grape or canola oils. Apart from boosting collagen production and reducing the signs of aging, it also helps to prevent the development of tumors.
*Also contains Vitamin E
What It Doesn’t Contain Is Just As Important
- No Sulphates. These are foaming detergents that make you feel clean but actually strip away the protective layer of skin.
- No Phthalates. These act as a lubricant and helps lotions spread easier but can also disrupt hormones.
- No PEGS (Polyethylene Glycol). This is often found in synthetic fragrances and contain heavy metals that have been linked to cancer.
- No Parabens. These are ingredients within non-natural preservatives that are absorbed easily, can cause skin sensitivity and have been linked to both breast cancer and male infertility.
- No Disodium EDTA. This is used to help other ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin but have been shown to disrupt hormones and cause cell mutation.
- No PABA (Para-Aminobenzoic Acid). This is used as a UV blocker and known to cause an allergic contact and photocontact dermatitis as well as links to DNA damage and the formation of cancerous cells.
